The original house was built around a huge rock outcropping on
a hillside with the living room at the lower level and the other
rooms above the rock. The 2500 sq. ft. addition, designed 20 years
later, continues the theme of natural stone and wood ensuring that
the old and new spaces balance and blend with one another. Boards
from an abandoned lumber camp on the lake and flagstone from a nearby
bay are used in the stone hall connecting the addition and the original
house.
Cross Design: Conceptual design plan for addition including
all finishes and furniture, kitchen and bathroom remodel in original
house.
